The company was founded in 1963 and has been serving Beaverhead County and the surrounding area ever since. In 2019 John Jeffery and Rex Liepheimer purchased R.E. Miller & Sons, the company has expanded to nearly 40 employees and continues to provide excellent service to our clients. Many of our employees have been with the company for over 15 years, this continuity enables us to see the results of our previous work, build on our experience, and modify the theoretical science with on-the-ground knowledge, providing the best of both worlds.

Rick SchwandtPROJECT MANAGER, [email protected]Rick came to R.E. Miller and Sons in the fall of 1988. He was raised in Dillon, then spent some time in the U.S. Army, where he had his first exposure to operating heavy equipment. Rick's early years at Millers were spent running dragline. With his natural knack for dirt-work, he became a skilled operator on a wide variety of machinery. His 30+ years of experience in the field lend themselves to his success in his new role as project manger. Rick's attention to detail ensures customer satisfaction and upholds the reputation of excellent job quality that R.E. Miller and Sons is known for.

Nate HellePROJECT MANAGER, [email protected]Nate started at R.E. Miller & Sons in 2011 after graduating from Beaverhead County High School, Nate was born and raised in Dillon working on his family ranch. After obtaining an Associate’s degree in Diesel Mechanics from the University of Montana, he now specializes in stock water systems, project setup, 3D design, and GPS grade control.

Tanner laggeproject manager, [email protected]Tanner joined the R. E. Miller & Sons team in 2010. Tanner has a B.S. degree in Business Administration with an option area in Small Business Management. Tanner has been expertly trained in stock water systems, septic systems, surveying, permitting and design work. His primary focus is customer service and satisfaction. Tanner takes a “hands on” approach while working with his customers and their project needs. His main goal is to utilize and make the best of the natural resources in southwest Montana. He understands that R. E. Miller & Sons has a valuable relationship with the community and will work hard to ensure that long-standing tradition continues.
